Ah yes, the gingham button-up shirt from J.Crew. As anybody with eyes will tell you, it’s probably the most commonly seen shirt on dudes across the country (other than maybe the other wildly popular J.Crew shirt, the tab collar chambray). It’s a shirt that goes with everything from a double-breasted suit to swim trunks, and gently implies that its wearer cares about his clothing. It’s like the Chipotle of the shirt community—a pretty good product that everyone likes, served up at an affordable price. Now, there’s an Instagram account that posts every time the shirt is spotted in the wild. Right now, the account only has 108 followers, but that’s double the number we saw this morning, which seems to suggest that people are already really down with this hyper-specific idea. Or, you know, that people just really, really, really like looking at this shirt.
